Cathy Dang

Cathy Lam Dang completed her master’s degree in Social Welfare where she was committed to pushing forward social change to improve welfare policy. She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University.

Her work as a Bohnett Fellow focused on education and improving the lives of children, youth, and families in their communities as she worked for Deputy Mayor Miriam Long in the Office of Education, Youth and Families. As part of her research, she traveled to Boston, Massachusetts to attend the National League of Cities’ bi-annual Summit on Your City’s Families.

Prior to working for CAAAV, she was a Worksite Organizer for the SEIU Local 721, CTW, CLC, Social Services Division.
