The letter “Don't want gay marriage? Write” (Aug. 17) encouraged those who oppose equal marriage rights to write letters to the justices of the California Supreme Court. The writer helpfully provided their address for the benefit of those who are not quite sufficiently motivated and-or able to look it up.
The Declaration of Independence assures all U.S. citizens of the God-given rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” I have yet to hear one compelling argument, in The Bee or anywhere else, that equal marriage rights in California would deprive anyone of any of those three
