Bridging the Digital Divide: Cleveland CyberCenter To Get Upgrade

Cleveland, OH: The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Community Center of Greater Cleveland announced the grand re-opening of the David Bohnett CyberCenter with a ribbon cutting ceremony to be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 @ 5:30pm. In establishing CyberCenters, technology entrepreneur and philanthropist David Bohnett’s vision is to provide LGBT communities with a “wired” hub through which its members can network, communicate, and explore educational, professional and recreational opportunities.

The grand re-opening will feature the unveiling of seven new Lenovo all-in-one A70z PC customized bundle with Microsoft Office software, Windows Pro 7 – 19” Widescreen monitor workstations, a Lexmark color printer/copier and HP color scanner. The CyberCenter also includes Adobe Photoshop and PageMaker desktop publishing software. This updated facility will help bridge the 'digital divide' by giving access to technologies and resources to those that may not have them, and provide a resource for small groups and organizations. More than 100 people use the CyberCenter each month.
