Amanda Smick is a graduate of the Social Welfare program at UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs. She concentrated her studies in education and juvenile justice policy. As a student, she interned for the Department of Children and Family Services in Torrance, CA where she provided case management services to children and families in the foster care system.
Prior to her enrollment at UCLA, Amanda interned as an undergraduate for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office, focusing on alternate sentencing for urban youth. Upon earning a degree in Economics, Amanda engaged in pro bono work for a major law firm, running a school based legal clinic for students and families in Brooklyn, NY.
