Exhibit in West Palm sheds light on Nazi persecution of gays

A West Palm Beach gay and lesbian center is the first of its kind to host a special exhibit from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., officials from the museum said.

Beginning today, Compass, the Gay and Lesbian Resource Center of the Palm Beaches presents “Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals, 1933-1945,” an exhibition featuring 250 photographs and historical items that tell the story of what happened to thousands identified as gay in Nazi Germany.

Until now, the exhibit has been displayed only at universities and libraries, including the Broward County Main
