USC Price School of Public Policy: Ariana Gutierrez

Ariana Gutierrez

Ariana, one of the 2025 Bohnett Fellows, is a Master of Public Policy candidate at the University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy. Her policy interests span various government structures, with a focus on education and affordable housing at the local level and migration and foreign affairs at the federal level.

Before joining Price, Ariana interned at the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Office of Policy (POL) in Washington, D.C., where she researched cross-cutting issues central to foreign and national security policy priorities, including global migration, climate policy, and multilateral development bank reform.

In the summer of 2024, Ariana served as a Loveridge Fellow in the California State Assembly under Assemblymember Eloise Gomez Reyes. Based in Sacramento, she engaged directly with constituents, attended committee hearings, and conducted research to brief the Assembly Member on bills scheduled for Assembly floor discussions.

As this year’s recipient of the USC Bohnett Fellowship, Ariana will work with Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s team to help develop and implement policy initiatives that address critical issues in Los Angeles County. Ariana looks forward to serving the residents of greater Los Angeles County.
