Audrey Mechling

Audrey Mechling has always had a passion for making her home state of Oregon a place where everyone can thrive. Before her time at USC Price, Audrey worked as a campaign manager and as a Chief of Staff to a State Representative. During her time in the State Capitol she fought for legislation to protect immigrant Oregonians from deportation.

Audrey chose to pursue a Masters of Public Administration at USC Price in order to further her career in crafting policy that improved the lives of Oregonians. As a Bohnett Fellow she worked on issues of criminal justice and child welfare for then LA County Board Chair Sheila Kuehl.

After completing her MPA, Audrey went on to become a Center on Budget and Policy Priorities State Policy Fellow, placed at the Oregon Center for Public Policy. The Oregon Center for Public Policy is a think tank dedicated to improving economic outcomes for all Oregonians, particularly low-income families and Oregonians of color, through research and analysis. Audrey now works as the digital communications and outreach strategist at OCPP.
