Chrissy Anecito is a proud California native with a strong commitment to public service. A fervent believer that the personal is political, Chrissy is pursuing a Master in Public Policy at UCLA to better serve her community by continually working to improve it.

Chrissy has been working over the past six years to elect progressive Democratic candidates to office from the state and local level to the Oval Office. During the 2016 cycle, Chrissy worked with the executive team at EMILY’s List where she coordinated logistics with campaigns across the country and ultimately helped bring 12 women to Congress. In 2017, she served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the CEO at the DNC, helping transition the team to a “no off-year” strategy, focusing on down ballot races nationwide.

Upon moving to the Bay Area, Chrissy became the Political Director for Congresswoman Barbara Lee, where she worked with local stakeholders to continue the legacy of a progressive champion in Congress. In the 2020 election, she joined the Pete for America campaign as the States Engagement Director, coordinating strategic initiatives between the South Bend headquarters, California and Nevada.

In October, Chrissy began a Master in Public Policy program at UCLA, concentrating on the intersection between environmental and social policy. She is excited for the opportunity to bring her past experiences to the LA Mayor’s Office as a Bohnett fellow, and to learn how to be an agent of change on the local level.
