Helen Beckon-Kerstein

Helen Beckon Kerstein received her Master of Public Policy degree with a concentration in transportation. As a Bohnett Fellow, Helen spent the majority of her time working on economic issues facing Los Angeles.

She served as the point person for the Mayor’s Office, working with Dan Grunfeld, Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, tracking the city’s progress on following through on recommendations made by the Los Angeles Economy and Jobs Committee.

Helen’s fellowship experience provided knowledge and skills that were helpful in obtaining a position as a Management Analyst for the City of Culver City’s Public Works Department where she ensured that citizens receive high-quality public services. Helen is now an analyst for the California Legislative Analyst’s Office.
