Kevin Hansen, MPA, 2013

Director of Real Estate Development Empire State Development Corporation (ESD)

Kevin Hansen

Kevin Hansen graduated with an MPA focusing on public policy analysis. Kevin has said that the Bohnett Fellowship was the decisive factor in his decision to pursue a graduate degree, and its stipend-supported summer internship offered Kevin the added opportunity to develop new financial analysis skills in Chicago's Office of Budget and Management.

Through its partnership with the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the Bohnett Fellowship exposed Kevin to top urban economic development policymakers and many innovative municipal initiatives–vital case studies for his current role.

Today, he is the director of real estate development at Empire State Development Corporation (ESD), the State of New York's chief economic development agency. From his position, Kevin oversees a variety of real estate and economic development programs and initiatives, all of which support ESD's mission.

Incidentally, Kevin was offered another prestigious opportunity in spring 2013, the Presidential Management Fellowship.
