Kevin Riley, MPA – Public and Nonprofit Management & Policy

Kevin has spent the majority of his professional career implementing policy at both the international and domestic level. Since 2014, he has worked on New York City’s Pre-K for All initiative, which provides free, high-quality pre-kindergarten to every four-year old the city. In this role, he’s worked on various outreach efforts to maximize student enrollment and, more recently, strategy and organization to enhance field office communication and policy compliance with pre-k providers. Before coming to New York, Kevin organized political parties in South Sudan, supporting the State Department’s effort to bolster political party plurality in the aftermath of the country’s 2011 independence. Kevin also worked on a State Department grant to organize a former Darfur rebel movement into a Sudanese political party, in accordance with a 2011 UN-brokered peace agreement. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Villanova University.

In the summer of 2016, Kevin Riley, working out of the office of the Deputy Mayor for Strategic Initiatives, worked on various policy initiatives for the New York City Children’s Cabinet. The experiences he gained introduced him to the massive production involved in organizing city agencies to contribute to policy framework documents that meticulously outline the city’s effort to address certain policy issues.
