NYU Wagner School of Public Service: Lindsey Melki

Lindsey Melki, MPA, 2014

Bohnett Fellow

Lindsey Melki

Before New York University, Lindsey Melki followed a call to duty to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

One of the many stops on her journey was as an officer and Black Hawk helicopter pilot in Baghdad, Iraq, where Lieutenant Melki flew over 500 combat flight hours and delivered her entire unit home to safety after a successful 15 month tour.

Her 11 years in the U.S. Army helped further define her life’s ambitions, to serve and lead others, and to better society. Today, Lindsey is attending New York University’s Stern School of Business in order to translate her military leadership and management skills to the civilian world.

She will attend NYU Wagner in order to pursue her passion for continuing a career in public service and positively impacting the veteran community.
